David Roemer is Co-founder and CEO of Ideas United (iU), a creative studio changing the way stories are told. For over twenty years, iU has partnered with leading brands, universities, nonprofits, studios, and streaming platforms to create content and experiences while empowering its community of diverse storytellers worldwide.
David oversees the company’s long-term growth, having formed marketing partnerships and production deals with organizations including Amazon, ABC, Apple, Smithsonian, PGA of America, Disney, Sony Pictures, Warner Bros. Discovery, 100+ universities, NCAA, CBS, PlayStation, PGA TOUR, The Coca-Cola Company, Starbucks, The Arnold Palmer Group, and more. David also co-founded Campus Movie Fest (CMF), the world’s largest student film festival.
David graduated from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School, studied as a Bobby Jones Scholar at University of St Andrews, and worked at Apple for many years in its marketing department. David dedicates himself to a wide variety of organizations in the community, including: the incoming Program Chair of Atlanta Rotary – Co-Chair of Mayor Dickens’ LGBTQ Advisory Board – Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta Board of Directors – Metro Atlanta Chamber Board of Directors – Leadership Atlanta Class of 2024 – Atlanta Speech School Board of Directors (To help each and every child find their voice to decide their own futures and make the greatest difference in the lives of others) – Chair-Elect of the Robert T. Jones, Jr. Program Advisory Committee (student exchange between Emory and St Andrews focused on character and integrity) – Arnold & Winnie Palmer Foundation Board of Directors (children’s health, character development, nature-focused wellness) – TOUR Championship Host Committee – East Lake Foundation Party on the Green Host Committee He remains very involved with Emory University (teaching a class or two each year as well), and strives to show up with his time, leadership, and resources to make a positive impact on Atlanta and beyond.
