Bry’an E. Azuekwu is a Practice Support Manager in the Strategic Communications segment, primarily focused on the Healthcare and Life Sciences sector and the EA Regional Lead for DC aligned Administrative Business Partners (ABP). In these roles Mr. Azuekwu, manages the business development and marketing efforts of the HCLS team as well as ensure that the Executive Assistant staff is properly trained and prepared to meet strategic business goals and needs while encouraging personal career development.
Mr. Azuekwu has over 10 years of experience working in various professional administrative capacities supporting senior leadership, programming and firm culture initiatives for Corporate America, Non-Profits & Foundations and Community Based Organizations.
Prior to joining FTI, Mr. Azuekwu held a career as a Funeral Service Practitioner serving families along the eastern seaboard and U.S. Virgin Islands. Additionally, Mr. Azuekwu served as a HIV/AIDS Advocate, a role in which he leveraged relationships for support and funding to combat the HIV/Aids epidemic.
At FTI Consulting, Mr. Azuekwu provides administrative and operations insight internally and liaises with clients on contracting, billing, compliance and other issues. Mr. Azuekwu also serves as a trusted advisor to Senior Leadership and has been identified as a Diversity, Inclusion & Equity leader for the firm. In August, 2022, Mr. Azuekwu was awarded the Strategic Partnership by The Admin Awards.
Mr. Azuekwu holds an Associates of Applied Science from the University of the District of Columbia in Legal Assistant and an Associates of Science from Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service in Funeral Service. In addition, Mr. Azuekwu is a District of Columbia Notary. At present, he is also slated to complete a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science from the University of the District of Columbia in the very near future.
In support of his commitment to service, Mr. Azuekwu serves as a Founding Member and Membership Committee Chairman for the Gay Professional Men of Color (GPMC), Ambassador to the Equality Chamber of Commerce DC (ECCDC) and Advisory Board Member for the Admin Awards.
