Virginia “Ginny” Clarke joined Google in 2016 and leads the non-tech Leadership Recruiting Team as well as Diversity and Internal Mobility. Prior to Google she was a senior partner at several global executive search firms, an independent talent management consultant, and a senior executive herself. A systems thinker, Ginny can deconstruct processes and behaviors to carefully assess organizational and individual capability. From there, she provides integrated solutions to affect change. Ginny is known to be an expert in the area of diversity recruiting for her profound understanding of how global talent must be assessed and optimally deployed in varying organizational and national cultures. She is the author of the book “Career Mapping: Charting Your Course in the new World of Work.” The book provides a framework for career fulfillment that empowers individuals to plot and assess their professional competencies, and strategically manage and optimize their careers. She earned her MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
